Kids Comp Camp

From typing to coding, Kids Comp Camp provides kids in underserved communities with accessible computer training to empower them to discover new opportunities in technology. The growth of computer-science-related jobs is far outpacing the number of trained graduates emerging to fill those jobs. In Kenya, the large majority of children leave school with no exposure or experience to computers, and 40% of people are unemployed. Kids Comp Camp is a mobile coding and ICT training unit aimed at helping youth gain the computer science skills to enhance their employability. Designed to travel to rural areas with equipment and staff, the unit also trains teachers that will serve as locally available resources for the entire community.
